Prof. Dr.-Ing. Abdelhakim Hassabou is Group Leader of the Solar Research Center at the Chair of Thermodynamics, Technical University of Munich (TUM), and Founder and Chairman of BIET Group America Inc. With more than 30 years of international experience, his expertise spans advanced thermodynamics, renewable energy systems, industrial decarbonization, and integrated energy technologies. His research focuses on sustainable energy infrastructure for AI and data centers, renewable industrial heat, thermal energy storage, district heating and cooling, green hydrogen, solar desalination, and AI-enabled integrated energy systems. Prof. Hassabou is also the inventor of patented hybrid photovoltaic-thermal and integrated energy technologies designed for scalable industrial and infrastructure applications. At TUM, he leads interdisciplinary research integrating thermodynamic science, digital optimization, waste-heat recovery, thermal energy storage, and renewable-energy technologies to address emerging challenges in energy-intensive infrastructure. His current work particularly explores energy-efficient, heat-recovering, and water-smart data centers and next-generation AI infrastructure, contributing to the transition toward sustainable and resilient energy systems. Dr. Thiago Paulino Costa is the Founder and CEO of AeroGrid AI Energy Technology, a Brazilian technology company focused on edge computing solutions for renewable energy infrastructure. With a background in energy project management and technological solutions for the power sector, he leads the development of innovative technologies that integrate artificial intelligence, distributed computing, and renewable energy. His work focuses on the “Virtual Computational Battery,” an emerging concept that transforms wasted or curtailed renewable energy into valuable artificial intelligence computing power. This approach aims to improve the utilization of renewable energy resources while supporting the growing computational demands of AI technologies. Beyond his entrepreneurial and technological activities, Thiago is the creator of the AeroGrid Social Institute – Zero Hunger Program, which integrates social impact and community development into technological operations. His vision combines renewable energy innovation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social responsibility, contributing to the development of more efficient, resilient, and inclusive energy systems. Dr. Nivin Abdelmeguid is an environmental, energy, and climate change specialist working at the intersection of energy economics, public policy, and sustainable development. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, and holds a PhD in Euro-Mediterranean Studies, specializing in Economics with a focus on energy and environmental economics. She also works as an independent Environmental, Energy & Climate Change Consultant, contributing to national and international projects in renewable energy, climate policy, sustainable finance, and environmental and social performance. Dr. Abdelmeguid served as a Lead Author and technical reviewer for Egypt’s First Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1) under the UNFCCC. Her research focuses on energy-system transitions, decarbonization pathways, climate policy, energy and environmental economics. She is also the Editor and a Contributing Author of The Future of the Energy Sector: Innovations for Economic Growth and Sustainability, currently in press with Nova Science Publishers.

Kamal Elkhatib is an Associate Professor at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes (LS2N), École Centrale de Nantes, France. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Menoufia University, Egypt, and his Ph.D. in Automation and Industrial Computing from the CRIStAL Laboratory, University of Lille, France. His research interests include artificial intelligence, intelligent and robust control, energy management, power electronics, and optimization for sustainable and resilient energy systems. His expertise covers Model Predictive Control (MPC), robust and fault-tolerant control, fuzzy and neuro-fuzzy systems, optimization, real-time control, and intelligent energy-management strategies. His current research focuses on renewable energy integration, smart grids, hydrogen-powered hybrid energy systems, intelligent battery management, More-Electric Aircraft, and resilient low-carbon energy infrastructures. He has contributed to major European research and industrial projects in aerospace electrification, smart grids, hybrid electric vehicles, HVDC transmission, and renewable energy systems. He has authored and co-authored more than 98 peer-reviewed scientific publications and serves on several international journal editorial boards and IEEE/IFAC technical committees.

Dr. Alireza Ghasempour has extensive experience in research, teaching, and academic leadership. His research interests encompass smart grids, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and advanced optimization techniques. He has contributed to the academic community through the publication of a book chapter and numerous peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. His work focuses on advancing innovative and intelligent solutions for emerging challenges in modern energy and electrical systems.

Alexis Kwasinski received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on microgrids and the design and planning of resilient power supply systems. As part of his research, he has conducted numerous field damage assessments following major natural disasters, including Hurricanes Katrina, Ike, Sandy, and Maria, as well as the earthquakes that affected Chile, New Zealand, and Japan in 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Elizabeth Ferreira Rangel is a Senior Researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2004, she has coordinated the National and International/Regional Reference Laboratory (PAHO/WHO) for Surveillance and Control of Leishmaniasis Vectors. Her expertise includes vector ecology, entomological surveillance, and integrated control of leishmaniasis vectors, with a particular focus on climatic and environmental determinants of vector distribution and health education. She serves as Consultant to the Health and Environment Surveillance Secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Health for the National Leishmaniasis Program and is a member of the PAHO Expert Committee on Leishmaniasis Control as well as the WHO Expert Advisory Panel on Parasitic Diseases (Leishmaniasis). In addition, she is a Researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology on Climate Change (Health Subcomponent) and a member of ONSEAdapta (National Observatory for Water Security and Adaptive Management), where she coordinates the Scientific Unit on Water and Health.

Prof. Constantin Voloşencu is a prominent Professor in the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics at the Politehnica University of Timişoara, Romania. His professional achievements are extensive, particularly in control systems, electrical drives, and intelligent systems (including fuzzy logic and neural networks). He is the author of over 10 books, 11 book chapters, and more than 170 scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. He holds 27 patents and has managed numerous research grants. He has developed various electrical and automation systems for industrial applications, including machine tools and high-power ultrasound processes. He serves as editor-in-chief and a member of the editorial boards of international journals; he has served on scientific committees at many international conferences and has been a plenary and keynote speaker at numerous global conferences. Significant contributions to both academic research and practical engineering development characterize his career.

Dr. Amela Ajanovic is an Associate Professor of Energy Economics at TU Wien and a faculty member of the postgraduate MSc program in Renewable Energy Systems. She holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Energy Economics from TU Wien. Her research focuses on alternative fuels, advanced automotive technologies, sustainable energy systems, and long-term energy scenario analysis. Throughout her career, she has served as a guest researcher at the International Energy Agency and the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands, contributing to projects including the World Energy Outlook, and has also been a guest lecturer at the Technical University of Prague. Dr. Ajanovic has participated in numerous national and international research projects and has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. In addition, she has served as a guest editor and associate editor for several academic journals and remains actively involved in various scientific committees, professional associations, and academic organizations.

Mr. Woo has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering, and he has obtained PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M. He majors in energy system such as HVAC and its heat transfer, optimal design and control of refrigerator, reliability design of thermal components, and failure Analysis of thermal components in marketplace using the Non-destructive such as SEM & XRAY. In 1992.03–1997 he worked in Agency for Defense Development, Chinhae, South Korea, where he has researcher in charge of Development of Naval weapon System. He was working as a Senior Reliability Engineer in Refrigerator Division, Digital Appliance, SAMSUNG Electronics. Now he is working as associate professor in mechanical department, Ethiopian Technical University.

Mr Lewis Fuhneh is an Electrical Engineer, researcher, and PhD Fellow at the University of Buea, Cameroon , Currently in Germany and whose work focuses on renewable energy systems, data-driven energy mapping, distributed electricity generation, and sustainable rural electrification. With over a decade of combined academic and industry experience, he has taught Electrical Power Systems at multiple higher education institutions and led numerous electrical and solar energy projects. His research bridges engineering, policy, and innovation to advance clean energy access in developing regions, with a strong commitment to translating research into practical, sustainable solutions for global energy challenges.

Dr. Deepak L. Waikar is an accomplished academic, researcher, and energy professional with extensive international expertise in sustainable energy, power systems, leadership, and higher education. He began his professional career as an Assistant Director at the National Power Engineers Training Institute, India, after completing his M.Tech. from Banaras Hindu University. Throughout his distinguished career, he has been associated with leading institutions in India and Singapore, as well as British and Australian universities offering programs in Singapore. He has authored and co-authored books, book chapters, research articles, and policy papers, and has delivered keynote and plenary presentations at international conferences across North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Dr. Waikar has held several prominent leadership positions within IEEE, including Chair of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Singapore Chapter and Chair of the IEEE Education Society Singapore Chapter, while serving as General Co-Chair, Steering Committee Co-Chair, and Technical Chair for numerous international conferences. He has also contributed as an editor, reviewer, academic advisor, external examiner, and consultant, supporting education, professional development, and the Singapore Certified Energy Manager programme. A Senior Member of IEEE and Life Member of the Institution of Engineers (India), Dr. Waikar holds a Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore along with advanced degrees from Canada, Australia, and India. His research interests focus on sustainable energy development and transforming tertiary education.

Dr. Manuel José Bernal Larrarte is an Economist and Electrical Engineer currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Planning at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. His research interests include long-term energy planning, renewable energy integration, electrification strategies, energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainable development. He has professional experience supporting energy projects with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and public-sector institutions across Latin America. His work combines technical, economic, and territorial perspectives in energy project evaluation, techno-economic analysis, and policy-oriented planning, contributing to sustainable energy transitions and resilient energy systems.

Pedro Marques is currently pursuing an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal. His research interests include energy communities, local energy markets, smart grids, renewable energy integration, and the digitalization of power systems. His master’s dissertation focuses on conceptual architectures for local energy markets within energy communities. Alongside his academic work, he is completing a technical internship at Schneider Electric’s Iberia Zone Solution Center, where he contributes to medium-voltage engineering projects. His professional interests focus on supporting the development of efficient, sustainable, and intelligent energy systems.
